Rough, un-smoothed fibres trap insulating air better than treated alternatives.  The fibres create a "loftier" texture that holds body heat, is more breathable, and can even generate heat through moisture absoprtion. 

 Untreated yarns are naturally water-repellent and resistant to odour causing bacteria, which in turn requires less frequent washing.  

 As untreated yarn is free from chlorine treatments and polymer resins, you are left with a final product that is not only natural but biodegradable as well. 

In some instances, untreated fibre alone can’t achieve the desired function, so thoughtful blends are created.  Carefully selected additions allows us to enhance durability, drape, and wear.
